The Fascinating Catholic History of Tarot

Over on his blog God and the Machine, Thomas L. McDonald has a fascinating series of articles discussing the true history of the tarot deck, reclaiming it from the occult nonsense that has sprung up around it to show it for the artifact of medieval Catholic culture that it is. Like the pentagram and the upside-down cross, most anything cool looking the post-Christians have was stolen from the Church.
